Now that the travel frenzy has died down - for many cadets, getting home for the holidays was more of an experience than expected ... mine included. We scheduled car service from KLS Transportation, a company we have used frequently with excellent results when GMK bus schedules don't work and this trip they once again proved their value and reliability. Driver was 30 minutes late picking our cadet up on Saturday morning ... roads weren't plowed at 7:30 am ... flight was scheduled for 11 :30 am out of JFK. The driver, a retired gentleman who moved back to NY after 10 years in Florida, pulled into their depot in New City and told my son that he couldn't go any further and there was a Doubletree around the corner. Enter Kevin, the owner. He came and got my son within 20 minutes and drove him to JFK himself - after telling me he would take him to any airport I could get a seat out for him since he was obviously missing his 11 :30 flight. Got him on the 7:30 pm out of JFK. Kevin got my son to the door of the terminal at 11 am, checked his original flight and found it was delayed until noon. Cadet was able to stand by and get on the original flight - which ended up in the air at 2:30 pm. Bag arrived next day. Shout out to Delta for all their help but especially to KLS and Kevin for not leaving him. Kevin and his drivers are so professional, they are always on time, they check my flights and make sure that I arrive on time. They have beautiful, clean cars and the nicest drivers. I highly recommend Kevin for all your transportation needs. He is topnotch!
